The Toyota Prius+ is a larger seven-seater MPV version of the popular Prius hatchback. It uses the same combination of an electric motor and petrol engine to stunning effect -- it's the only seven-seater model on the market that emits less than 100g/km of CO2. Don't expect driving thrills from behind the wheel though, the Prius+ prefers to be driven slowly and smoothly -- floor the throttle and the whine from the automatic gearbox soon becomes intrusive. The seven seats are arranged over three rows, and a huge panoramic glass roof -- fitted as standard -- floods the interior with light.
