This will not be a build video series. There are too many of them already on YT, and they are all good. I will be referencing them as I build this one. But, rather, this is just a catalog of the parts that I will be using to build mine. Most of the parts are final. But I am still undecided on the actual flight controller. I can choose between a really nice Naze / OSDoge stack which is set up for 3S, or I can put a full Naze32 on it instead. I think I am going to save the nice stack for my Armattan build next. But I am on the fence. It is more about actually being able to fit the naze / doge stack in to the QAV250 chassis than anything else. My stubborn choice to keep the batter at the back of the bird, rather than have it riding on top is really what is preventing this from happening. The firewall that I am using is going to have to be modified also if this is going to work. So, I don't know. But at any rate, this will be one of those builds where my next video will be the completed platform, and I will by flying the maiden with it. Making a build video would be fun, but I am no authority, and there are already a ton of really good build videos out there now. So, I won't waste my time doing it. I don't have a lot of experience with the Naze, Cleanflight, Betaflight, SimonK, BLHeli, PID programming, and all of the stuff that comes with these components in this build. So, honestly the software side scares me. I have enough to bite off, just to get this thing flying I think. I might be overstating it, but the more videos that I watch, the more it appears to be a college course that I am going to be taking on programming. So, I don't know. But that is where the fun is at for me. I like building these things, and I like learning about the features that make them unique. And this little 250 is going to be my first of this type. No doubt. The Armattan Tilt Hex which I build next will also be a small one, and I will likely use the Naze on it also. So I am going to use this build as a learning platform. I can make my mistakes here and it will be less costly. The Armattan is expensive. I don't want to be learning this stuff with the expensive build.
