Router week continues! A lot of you asked which router I use personally, and I figured I'd do a review of the Asus RT-AC68U that I use both at home and in my day job.
This is a great example of why the middle of the road router is really all most people need. The RT-AC68U offers outstanding routing, wireless, and wired performance at a price at or below $200.
What I like best about it is its features. VPN client and server capabilities (including OpenVPN), dual WAN features for both load balancing and redundancy, 3G / 4G modem compatibility, basic NAS functions, and a lot more. It's incredibly robust and is able to support about 170 devices I have connected at the office in addition to routing a bunch of inbound traffic we receive from our remote locations.
In short this is a powerful device that works great and is by far my favorite router out there right now. After all I bought two of them!
