Quick Overview of the finish of a Typical Alien Seconds frame. Ever since producing videos on the Alien 5” and 6” we’ve had people ask us if seconds were worth the money. My initial thoughts was no, I’d personally always go for the perfect product. Having said that as we met and spoke with people that purchased Seconds, most weren't 100% certain of the problems identified by ImpulseRC. Some found some minor marks and thought that may have been the issue, but most people came away pretty confused as to why the frame they purchased was a second.
This became such a common question through YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, that curiosity got the best of me. Before placing the order I contacted ImpulseRC and asked them when placing my order, could the identify the problem areas so I could do a video and share it with the community.
So here you have it. Totally blown away so much so, that I would find it hard to not go for the Seconds since the quality is higher than most frames. I’m also thinking of getting a 6” Alien since I like the way Thomas’ quad flies so if the Seconds are available at the time, I will be purchasing a second for sure.
In any case I really hope this puts people at ease and clarifies the Seconds issue not only for Impulse RC but also for us . . since we get asked that question almost every single day.
