Huge quantities of dust and dirt can accumulate on the inside components of a PC. Avoid the combination of moisture and dust/smoke. Moisture is the "glue" for the impurities present in the air and the PC will suck up and deposit all these contaminants especially on the fan blades and heat-sink fins.
